PLEASE NOTE:
The Friday and Saturday evening performance times for “Company” are now at 7:30pm. The Saturday evening performance of “Alice’s Restaurant” is at 7pm. The Vassar Repertory Dance Theater performance times are 1pm and 3pm on Saturday April 6. If you are interested in attending a particular production and do not have a reservation it is recommended to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to curtain to see if you can be placed on a waitlist.

Featuring Professor Martin Nowak, Harvard University: “Evolution of eusociality.” Sponsored by the Mathematics Department. A reception will be held prior to the lecture outside Rockefeller Hall 300. (The Asprey Distinguished Lecture Series is named in honor of Winifred Asprey [Class of 1938], a much admired professor of mathematics who taught at Vassar for 38 years and was nationally recognized as a spokesperson for mathematics and computer science. The series features the worlds most prominent mathematicians lecturing on current trends and successes.)

At the end of every week, the Bayit, run by Rabbi Rena Blumenthal, holds Friday night Shabbat Services. Services are led by students in a wide variety of styles and themes.

Rockefeller Hall, Room 300. Documentary exploring the different stereotypes South Asian immigrants and their children encounter in the United States. Presented by SASA (South Asian Students Alliance), screening followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Teju Prasad.
6:00pm – 11:00pm L'Oarhouse - A Vassar Rowing Restaurant

Enjoy an evening out with a delicious three-course meal prepared and served by the members of the Vassar Rowing Team along with live entertainment and a great atmosphere! Students $10. Adults $15. What is the meaning of guns in the USA? How do guns function in American society compared to other societies? Mass shootings are dramatic, but what about Chicago? Is a crisis of masculinity in the U.S. increasing gun violence? Majorities favor gun regulations, but few are passed. Why? What are the prospects of greater gun regulation? Why does this topic elude mutually productive political compromise? Join Vassar professors Diane Harriford (Sociology), Eileen Leonard (Sociology, and Sidney Plotkin (Political Science). Moderated by Visiting Professor John Wallach, Political Science, (Vassar S'13), Hunter College, and the Graduate Center, CUNY.
